End Of Year
Published on Jun 28, 2019 16:18

Hello Everyone....

Our school year has come to an end. I am very proud of the accomplishments of all 544 of our students! Our kids have grown physically, academically and spiritually. It's a privilege for me to observe and be involved in.

A few things:

* Mrs. Diamond returned from Scotland and was able to spend yesterday with us. She asked me to share a few sentiments with our community. She was "floored" with the outpouring of support for her over this past week from families who reached out to her after the passing of her father. Your thoughts and prayers mean the world to her. She also shared with me that the assembly yesterday honouring her retirement was "amazing". The students, under the direction of Mrs. Linden, were unbelievable.  Our CSCC purchased a pew for our chapel with Ann's favourite prayer inscribed on it. We would like to thank the Arsenault family for making the pew. Please drop in to see it on your next visit to the school. Mrs. Diamond was very touched by this gesture. We wish Mrs. Diamond a wonderful retirement after a very successful 39 year career in education.

* Our school bell schedule has changed for next year. I will send a more detailed message to you next week with the specific changes. Generally, our dismissal time remains at 3:25 pm; however, our start time will become 9:05 am - a change from this year's 8:55 am. Supervision on the yard will now begin at 8:50 am. Again, more details to follow next week.

I will send a few more pieces of information to you next week introducing some staff changes and information for next year. Enjoy this Canada Day weekend with your family and friends.
