School Day and Other Information

Good Morning Everyone:
Pretty cold out there this morning! A few things to share:
* School Day
We have noticed that not all of our parents have registered for School-Day.
We apologize, in advance, for inundating you with numerous reminders and memos. We ask that you register for School-Day whether or not you will be ordering Pizza/Milk. The School-Day program will also be the venue by which you will receive information such as, Field Trip permission forms, schedule Parent/Teacher interviews, receive our school Newsletters/Announcements, and any other information relating to your child or events happening at the school. It's imperative that all our families register for School-Day.

* Grade 8 Parent Information Evening at St. Joan of Arc
All parents of our grade 8 students are invited to an open house information session scheduled for Wednesday, January 16 (6:00 pm - 8:00 pm). This is an evening designed to share information with families regarding the transition to high school.
* Catholic School Community Council
The next meeting for our CSCC is scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 24 at 6:30 pm. All are welcome to attend.
* Cold Temperatures and Outdoor Recesses
As a guideline for determining whether or not students will be going outside for recess, the Canadian Paediatric Association has established a temperature of - 24 C (wind chill included) for school boards to use as a temperature level for determining indoor or outdoor recesses. If the temperature is - 24 C or colder, we typically have an indoor recess. Please monitor the weather each day and urge your children to wear proper clothing for colder weather. Thanks.
