School Start-Up

The Simcoe Muskoka Catholic District School Board will be sending out a communication to welcome your child back and their teacher’s name.  This information will be sent on Sunday, September 1st.

In order to reduce traffic at the school, we would kindly ask that all students that travel by school bus please take the bus on the first day.  All staff at the school will be out to receive and assist students on the first day, starting at 8:50 am.  Parents/Guardians are NOT permitted on school property.  All staff will be out to assist in directing students to their classrooms.

On the first day, kindergarten students will gather in the kindergarten yard.  Students in grades 1 - 8 will gather in the schoolyard.  When the bell goes at 9:05 am: 

• Grade 1, 2, and 3 students will enter the door leading to the gymnasium where staff will organize the students into their classes.
• Grade 4 and 5 students will enter the back door.  Grade 5 students will proceed up the stairs to the hall in front of the library and grade four students will proceed to the front foyer.
• Grade 6, 7, and 8 students will enter the west entrance and proceed upstairs to the upstairs hallway, where staff will organize the students into their classes.
