KINDERGARTEN LAUNCHED AT CATHOLIC BOARD
January 30, 2017 - BARRIE, ON: Beginning on January 30th, the Simcoe Muskoka Catholic District School Board (SMCDSB) is officially launching its Kindergarten registration campaign. Parents and guardians are encouraged to contact their local Catholic school to find out more details and to pick up a welcome package. More information about registration is also available on the board website at www.smcdsb.on.ca/our_schools/registration.

"This is the beginning of a wonderful learning journey and parents can be assured that the Kindergarten teaching team is ready to embrace and foster each student's God-given talents."
Students who turn four in 2017 are eligible to attend Junior Kindergarten beginning in September of 2017. SMCDSB's Kindergarten program, which is led by a Kindergarten teacher and Designated Early Childhood Educator, provides students with a full-day, play based learning experience to help students get ready for their next stage in learning. The teaching team encourages independence, fosters responsibility, nurtures self-esteem and instills Gospel values in order to develop a solid foundation for learning and growth.
