A Few Things and a Well Wish

Happy Friday Everyone:
Just a quick but important note....
* A huge congratulations to the members of our Battle of the Books team for winning the Barrie Public Library's "Battle of the Books" competition. Please see our website for a photo of our team and more details about the contest.
* Our three kindergarten classes performed a spring concert yesterday for their parents to rave reviews! Thank you to our FDK staff for preparing our youngest students so well and to the many parents who attended to support their kids. A real nice afternoon for everyone....
* The Scholastic Book Fair is winding up today....once again our community showed strong support for literacy. Sales were brisk and kids were quite excited to walk away with a new story to read! Thank you to Mr. Rankin and his team of parent volunteers for organizing the fair.
* The performance of "The Secret Life of Riley K" put on by Education Arts Canada proved to be a powerfully effective medium for educating our students on the important topic of mental health. This week has been designated as "Mental Health Week" in our province.
On behalf of our staff, I would like to wish all our mothers a very happy Mother's Day this weekend!
