At the conclusion of our Easter Mass on Thursday, April 7 at 9:30 a.m., Fr. Tad will lead us in a blessing of our new Chapel. All are welcome to attend!
Over the past 18 months, our Chapel Committee have been working to make our chapel a sacred space in our school. Woodworkers associated with the Salvation Army crafted 7 beautiful pews with our school crest emblazoned on the sides. Mrs. Russell, a local stained glass artisan made stained inserts for the windows in the chapel depicting children gathered around Jesus (see photo). Russ Arsenault, a parent in our community, recently built a beautiful bookshelf that will house several resources for kids to access in the chapel. Mr. Arsenault donated his many woodworking talents to this project! Thank you to them all.
Classes are welcomed to use the chapel for their daily religious education classes, social justice meetings are held in the chapel regularly and the Rosary Apostolate program uses the space while working with our kids. It is excellent to see.
We are very proud of the efforts our community has made in creating this special place. A huge thank you to our parents and guardians for supporting various fundraisers that made this chapel possible. Our Catholic School Community Council played a vital role in funding our stained glass and pews. Also a big thank you to Mrs. Biemann and Mrs Allan for all their efforts in leading this initiative.
